Doctor Europaeus is an additional certification that can be awarded together with the ph.d. title.
In order to obtain this certification, the following conditions must be satisfied:
- Two positive reviews (minor or accept) of the thesis from experts working at European Universities in a country different from the one where the thesis is discussed.
- At least a member of the final exam committee is working at an European University in a country different from the one where the thesis is discussed.
- The thesis is discussed in one of the official languages of the European Union, excluding the official language spoken in the country where the thesis is discussed.
- During the phd, the student has spent at least 3 months in an European country different from the one where the thesis is discussed.
The students who are eligible for this certification and want to have it associated with the awarded phd title must submit the request using the official form available on the website of the phd school, sending it to both dottorati@unimib.it and the coordinator of the phd program in computer science.
