We will talk about how conferences are structured (e.g., explaining the meaning of the many tracks that are usually available) and organized (e.g., presenting the key roles such as the general chair, the program chairs, etc.). We will also briefly discuss how the paper revision process is usually implemented. All the interested students are invited to join this meeting. The target audience for this topic is 1st year students with little/no experience in conference participation.We will allow remote participation (through the Webex room https://unimib.webex.com/meet/leonardo.mariani) for the students who stay abroad and the ones with industrial positions (alto apprendistato and executive), although again we strongly recommend in-person participation.
